Our Origin Tale:
In 2022, Kevin & Marcelo traveled to the Esxence Perfume Trade Show. Inspired by the desire to share their aromatic moments in Milan, Kevin and Marcelo turned the dream into reality when subscribers sent messages expressing their longing to join these fragrance adventures. One viewer commented that Marcelo was the “Anthony Bourdain of Perfume” - and this was the spark that ignited it all.
The Essence of Passion:
Marcelo - "Even as a child I remember being interested in my dad's Old Spice cologne. I would steal from him, only to be told off to stop using it. It was his prized possession. I clearly remember both my father and mother always smelling beautiful. When I was young, I had saved up money and bought my first perfume from Safeway supermarket; it was cheap, ugly and nasty... but I loved it!"
Kevin - “I had always grown up with a love for fashion and fragrances. I started working at a department store, wanting to become a tailor for men's suits. I would go to work dressing in a 3 piece suit & tie, and walking past the Fragrance Department, sneaking a few sprays every morning - it would make me feel complete. At the time I was a young, shy, starry-eyed kid just discovering the transformative power of fragrance. Putting on my best outfit and a fresh fragrance made me feel confident to serve people and strike up a conversation."
A Dynamic Duo:
Marcelo had started his YouTube channel ‘The Niche Fragrance Collector’ and realised after his first few episodes that he needed access to more perfumes. He connected with a few retail outlets and as fate would have it, stepped into Oligarch perfumery to meet Kevin. The two hit it off, starting with the first "Oligarch Series" on Marcelo's channel and the response was phenomenal. They quickly became known as the Dynamic Duo of the fragrance world - resonating with their audience, bringing laughter and positivity to everyone who watched.
Creative Backgrounds:
Marcelo's creative journey spans lifestyle and corporate content creation for over 3K high profile clients around the world. He also had an Event Management business for 15 years, working with big-scale events like The Australian Open and the Melbourne Cup. Kevin, with a decade in high-end fashion and luxury, cultivated relationships with esteemed brands and customers. Together, their backgrounds converge to weave a rich tapestry of creativity and expertise.
